Congratulations

Congratulations Olivia Torgersen who was chosen to perform at the Utah Music Teachers Association Honors Recital in conjunction with their State Conference at the end of October! Please see the following below to read more about this great honor:

"Each fall UMTA holds 7-9 Regional Performance Evaluations across the state. Participation varies from year to year but ranges from 250-400 musicians. The well qualified judges are very friendly to the participants and provide insightful comments which should benefit each student who attends. To honor the work of some of the best performers, judges select the top 20% from each region and age division as winners. The winners from the regional events are asked to perform at the state-wide Honors Recitals held annually in conjunction with our UMTA State Convention. The most important aspect of this event is how it inspires the individual effort and progress. All UMTA teachers are encouraged to send students to the regional events, whether they are beginning or advanced. The public and especially all UMTA teachers, are invited to attend the UMTA Honors Recitals which are free, and an excellent way to see the best performers within each age group from across the state."
