STUDENTS: Please watch the new 5 videos under "FERN Practicing" as I filmed myself learning the first 2 sections of a Rachmaninoff Prelude (to be performed at the Studio Recital in August!). This will help you remember the steps and see that FERN applies to ANY type of music--no matter how hard or easy. I walk you through practicing each day and how to improve each day. This also teaches you when to memorize (and how--if you focus on analyzing, fingering, expression, pedaling, notes, rhythms, etc. HA then HT) so you can be prepared for your lessons memorized. Memorizing is SO easy when you practice using FERN and do not stop practicing until you reach your goal every day. This will teach you how to push yourself, be ready for your lessons, enjoy practicing, and improve rapidly.
